Madame Tussauds Orlando

With the Orlando, Florida branch of the famous Wax Attraction opening in just a little more than two weeks I decided to swing by the construction site and check out the exterior (I had the great fortune of visiting on February 23, 2014 and toured the interior already). 

Like many of the Madame Tussauds from around the world, Orlando features the chains iconic advertisement 'Celebrity Wrap' showing guests interacting with their favorite stars. Though not fully finished (as of this morning) the images reveal several of the fabulous figures to be shown within.

Though at a later time, I will go into much greater detail on the history, development and ultimate demise of this, the most Southern of the Josephine Tussaud's chain of attractions, for now, enjoy the complete guidebook from this short-lived Aussie Wax Museum.

Today the world lost an icon of science-fiction with the passing of Leonard Nimoy. He created an original character that will forever be ingrained within the consciousness of all the world's civilized people. So, because "art imitates life" many of the world's great wax museums have had displays dedicated to Mr. Nimoy's creation - Mr. Spock. 

In Memory of his life, and to the character he helped created, WAXIPEDIA humbly shares these photographs, postcards and brochures to show our appreciation.

Historic Auto Attractions - Roscoe, Illinois

Opened originally as the Museum of Witchcraft & Magic, By Ripley's International, the museum was re-branded in the late 1970's and Leonard Nimoy was brought on to star in the museum's lobby video.

The World of the Unexplained museum also contained a wax figure of Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock. Here that same figure is shown, in storage, sometime during the late 1980's.
