Thank You, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr

The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr is one of the most highly recognized individuals of the last century. World wide he is remembered for his stirring orations, devotion to equality for all and his fervent dedication to peace. Award the Nobel Peace Prize Dr. King was taking from the world too early by a bigoted bullet.
  Today we honor this great man by exploring some of the wax effigies dedicated to his memory.

This figure was announced today, on Dr. Martin Luther King Day, as being one of the figures to be apart of the Orlando attractions collection when it opens this Spring.

( Many of these pictures come from varied variety of sources ((including official websites)), but several are apart of the various collections within the ever growing 'WAXIPEDIA ARCHIVES'.

Dedicated to preserving the history of Wax Arts, and the unique stories of all those involved in it's development, WAXIPEDIA strives to become the ultimate source of information on the subject of wax museums.  Anyone interested in donating items for preservation are invited to contact me at timothywrandall@gmail.com. Louis Tussaud's Wax Museum

~Atlantic City, New Jersey ~

Here we have an awesome vintage brochure for the sadly closed LOUIS TUSSAUD'S WAX MUSEUM that once stood on Atlantic City, New jersey's famous Boardwalk. 

With wax figures by America sculptress Katerine Stubergh, the museum had no association with London's MADAME TUSSAUD'S but instead was aligned with one of her decedents, Louis. Despite it's popularity, the wax museum sadly closed to make way for casino development.
