Movieland Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

How long does the tour take?
It takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to tour our museum. Our museum is a self-guided tour and you could spend as much time as you would like.

Are you allowed to take pictures?
Yes….Remember to bring your camera with a flash for memorable pictures.

Do you buy hair?
No, we do not buy hair. Movieland Wax Museum uses only “certified natural hair,” which means that the hair has never been colored or chemically treated.

Do you buy fingernails?
No, we do not buy human fingernails. We are unable to use human fingernails as once they are trimmed, the fingernails no longer have natural oil and it curls.

How does the combination ticket work?
You could purchase the combination tickets from Movieland Wax Museum or Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Museum. You would need to enter the museum on the same day where you purchased the combination tickets. The ticket for the 2nd museum does not have an expiration date and could be used at anytime. Since the combination tickets are already discounted, we cannot honor any coupons or discounts for the combination tickets.

Children (ages 4-11) $9.75
Seniors (55+) $13.95

What discounts do you give to travel agents?
Travel agents presenting a travel agent business card and a picture ID would qualify for a complimentary admission. You would need to leave the business card with the box office cashier.
Your guests would qualify for our Tour and Travel rate, which are as follows:

Adults $7.50
Children (ages 4-11) $4.95

Do you sell Gift Certificates or Prepaid Tickets?
You could purchase PREPAID TICKETS at Movieland Wax Museum. Just go to the box office and tell them you would like to purchase PREPAID TICKETS. You would be issued tickets that could be used for future visits. There are no prices or expiration dates printed on the tickets. There are no coupons or discounts for prepaid tickets. You could also purchase them by mail. Just E-mail us your name, street address, telephone number and your credit card number (Visa or MasterCard) and expiration date. We would mail you the tickets via postal mail.

Movieland Wax Museum Box Office is open:
Monday to Friday 10AM to 6PM
Saturday and Sunday 9AM to 7PM
Movieland Wax Museum closes 1.5 hours after the box office closes:
Monday to Friday 10AM to 730PM
Saturday and Sunday 9AM to 830PM

How far is Movieland from Disneyland?
Movieland Wax Museum is located 6.8 miles from Disneyland. It would take you less than 10 minutes to drive from Disneyland to Movieland Wax Museum.
Directions: From Disneyland, take the I-5 North Freeway, and take the Beach Blvd./Buena Park exit. At the exit is a traffic light (Beach Blvd), make a left turn. Movieland Wax Museum would be on your right side after 4 blocks.

How much is the charge for parking?
We have ample FREE PARKING at Movieland Wax Museum

Is there a restaurant in the Museum?
Movieland Wax Museum does not have any restaurant inside the museum. However, there are several restaurants within walking distance of our museum:
Po Folks Restaurant, McDonald’s, Burger King, IHOP, Outback, Claim Jumper and Stuart Anderson’s Black Angus Restaurant.

Is the Museum appropriate for children?
Yes and Movieland Wax Museum has a lot to offer for children. Children will recognize the stars from the Wizard of Oz, Star Trek, Titanic, Jim Carrey, Robin Williams as Mrs. Doubtfire, Superman, Walt Disney, Snow White, LeVar Burton of Reading Rainbow, Michael J. Fox from Back To The Future, Music Stars (Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Michael Jackson), and many more.

Do all Guests have to enter the Chamber of Horrors?
The Chamber of Horrors is not recommended for young children. The Chamber of Horrors is optional. Guests who do not wish to enter the Chambers of Horrors could take the “DETOUR” and skip the Chamber of Horrors.
